An Evening with Dr. Susan Love
Get Ready Los Angeles! We are thrilled to announce that the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center will be hosting a FREE Breast Cancer Forum featuring our very own, Dr. Susan Love.
The event, entitled “An Evening with Dr. Susan Love,” will be a free forum and Q&A session with Dr. Susan Love. Hosted by the L.A Gay & Lesbian Center, this special event will take place at the Center’s Village at Ed Gould Plaza in Hollywood on the evening of May 22nd.
An activist and pioneer in the field of breast cancer research, Dr. Love is the President of the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, the parent Foundation of the Army of Women program and an accredited 501 (c) 3 non-profit dedicated to moving breast cancer beyond a cure by focusing research on discovering the causes of breast cancer and the ways to prevent it.
In her presentation, Dr. Love will highlight the latest news about women’s health and breast cancer research, including research about breast cancer risk in lesbians, bisexual women and transgender people.
Prior to the forum, the Center’s Los Angeles Women’s Network (LAWN) will host a free reception with hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic drinks in the courtyard at The Village. The reception begins at 6 p.m.
