The Army of Women two year anniversary is just around the corner on October 1, 2010, which also coincides with the 25th year anniversary of Breast Cancer Awareness month. We have much to do during these next few months and we need to make sure that we are making waves, come October. With so many milestones serving as reminders that we still don’t know what causes breast cancer, we need to do everything we can to make sure our voices are heard. We need YOUR help to do this. YOU are our eyes and ears. YOU make the Army of Women tick. Without you, we are back to square one, pouring energy into the same type of research that has been conducted for years, without shifting the focus to areas that are equally as, if not more important, like prevention. You’ve accepted the challenge, you’ve read our e-blasts, some of you have participated in groundbreaking studies, you’ve forwarded our information to friends, and you’ve become a fan of ours on Facebook.
Now is the time to step up our game. Here is a chance for you to get even more involved. It’s time, once again, to open enrollment for our Army of Women Foot Soldier Program!
So, are YOU ready to join a group of women dedicated to raising awareness about our crucial mission? Have YOU been waiting for the opportunity to get involved? Have YOU been wanting to take the Army of Women to the next level? Would you consider becoming a volunteer spokesperson for the Army of Women in your town or city or even State? Would you be willing to spend a few hours a month helping us spread the word about the Army of Women? Then being an Army of Women Foot Soldier might just be the perfect role for you! We are looking for reliable, dedicated, savvy women (just like YOU) to help us spread the word about the Army of Women and to help us reach our goal: recruiting one million women of every age and ethnicity to step up, sign up, and take part in breast cancer research.
With our current Foot Soldiers already in place recruiting thousands of new Army of Women members, this is just the beginning! Think how much more we can grow if every single one of our Army of Women members were to take the pledge to be an active soldier and get out there and recruit!
